Remember that you LOVE your boyfriend--I don't necessarily get along great with my in-laws either. I do it for the sake of family and just being together.


Just ignore her, use the philosophies; let it roll off your back, go in one ear and out the other, I'm rubber you're glue - bounces off me and sticks to you, sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me....

i went the same thing with my gf's mom and step dad during thanksgiving. Pointless arguing for no reason. So i did the best thing, I advised watching a movie (to take the attention away from the parents) and cracked funny jokes all night(it helps if you know hilarious movie qoutes it never fails unless the other people havent seen the movie). If cracking jokes doesnt help then demand that thanksgiving next year be at your place of residence.
Just try to remember that she's not trying to cause you offence. It might be tough, but just grit your teeth and smile through it, if you make tension with her it'll be tough on your boyfriend.
Remind yourself that you are THANKFUL she's not YOUR MOM!
Tough one! There will be many more Thanksgivings so either grin and bear it or don't go!
