How do you deal with stingy boyfriends?

this guy i talk to really stingy with his money when he has it and never offers to buy me anything, but always expects me to buy him things. Should i confront him or sit it out, what should i do cause i really like him, that is his only flaw~ my friend said its only going to get worse cause her bf is like that and they have been together for a year.How do you deal with stingy boyfriends?
Stop buying him things, and if he asks why, tell him that you're taking a clue from him and being smarter with his money... If he fusses with you, lose this guy. he's not worth it. He's selfish and self-centered, two traits that are not worth your time.

He only expects you to buy him things because you do. You don鈥檛 say whether he鈥檚 generous in other ways but in a healthy relationship, each partner gives what he or she can monetarily or otherwise. If you don鈥檛 already know the answer, by all means let him know how you feel about his stinginess.





If he鈥檚 just stingy then your friend is correct. It will only get worse. So you will need to decide how this affects you and whether you can continue in a relationship with a stingy person



Tell him you are trying to save money for college, or a training school, and ask him to help you figure out the safest place to put your savings until you need them, and in the meantime, which investment will pay the highest (safest) interest.





When you are out on a date, maybe you can try to set a practice that everything will be ';dutch.'; (Expenses equally shared.)
Instead of you paying/buying things for him or him for you the both of you should just pay for your own things. If you really like this guy then it shouldn't matter whether or not he buys you things. Maybe he just doesn't have any money right now.
