He went to rehab for it 10 years ago and for the most part is really good about it but sometimes I catch him and I get really angry because I feel like he's lying to me about it when he says, ';he can't help it sometimes it just happens.'; Like he's trained his body to do this or his body is messed up from before when he used to be bulimic. Is that true? Should I just let it go or does he need help again? How should I deal with my boyfriends bulimia?

if he continues to do it he is causing himself bodily harm the acid will eat away at his innards and it will effect him and you.How should I deal with my boyfriends bulimia?
He needs help again. People with eating disorders lie alot to hide their disorder. You can be cured from it and not vomit anymore. To say ';it just happens'; is not true. Get him some help.
This is a tough one. Lying is part of the disorder. Try to overlook the affront of being lied to and try to see it instead as a desperate way to avoid the consequences of doing things that he does to hurt himself. Bulimia can last decades. He should join a support group (at least), and could probably benefit from seeing a therapist too.
if I were you I would definitely try just talking to him about it and how maybe you could help him or talk to your counselor
I think that since he is endangering himself, he *does* need help, but nothing will work unless he accepts that he has a problem and that he needs help.
As for what you can do, try not to get angry because more likely than not he is still affected by bulimia. Throwing up is what bulimics do, so he is not lying to you.
It's pretty hard, but be as patient and supporting as you can, and make sure he knows that you are there for him.
www.somethingfishy.org is a great place for support.
